Let’s talk Fatherhood.
Sunday will be the second Father’s Day for Tracy Martin without his son. Let’s all make sure we send him our well wishes and prayers on what I imagine will be a very difficult day given the start of the trial to obtain Justice for Trayvon. Tracy, if I could I would melt away the sorrow and the pain. While I can’t imagine your pain and your grief, I walk in the Light with you towards finally righting this wrong. We will get there.
And providng an abject lesson on Fatherhood and who gets to claim the mantle was potential juror E81 and the thugboat’s father, Robert Zimmerman, Sr. We’ve seen how archetypes have worked in a way such that perfect strangers feel it is perfectly normal to assume that Tracy Martin was not a part of Trayvon’s life. Simply because his parents were divorced, does not mean that he had an absentee father. Certainly our President and Oprah and many others known and unknown can paint a fine picture of children who lived without their fathers outside of their home and are productive citizens (gz would still find them suspicious, however). But given the success of the people I could list, we never hear any kudos for single parenthood. Noooo…it’s always “DESPITE being raised in a single parent home…. blah, blah, blah…”
What else do we never hear? “DESPITE being raised in a two-parent home – (fill-in the blank) is a colossal loser! Now, I know that many people raised in a two-parent home can speak of an absentee parent. Whether a parent is absent due to work, addiction or affairs (EVERYBODY SAY IT WITH ME – DAWN – WHAT HAPPENED TO DAWN AND WHY DON’T YOU MENTION HER SR???), matters none to a child. But as long as a marriage license is in play, then all benefit of the doubt (archetypal malarky) are afforded to those children even into adulthood. From where I sit, within the confines of the Zimmerman two-parent (really three) home, the following came to fruition:
- 10 years of incest
- cop assaulter
- dog kicker
- ex-fiance abuser
- cop academy reject
- spotchy job history – moving from one job to the next
- work-place harasser
- drunk driver (Hi Jr)
- child murder
- financial irresponsibility
- community college drop-out
What a fine resume there and a testament to the two-parent household! Yay Team Zimmerman. Except…
What say you about a three-parent household?
The father, Robert Zimmerman Sr., is a retired military man. He could be strict. And the children’s grandmother, who lived with the family, also kept a watchful eye, said Kay Hall, who lived across the street from the Zimmermans in a neighborhood just west of Sudley Road for about 20 years. George and his siblings “didn’t play with the neighborhood kids,” Rudzenski said. “They had to stay home and play.” It was always “Yes, ma’am,” “No, ma’am,” Hall said.
This week Sr released an e-book on Amazon that is full of lies but ummm no innuendo at all (sarcasm). He comes right out and writes his agenda. Mainly, “My boy shouldn’t face charges for murdering that black boy! The system is racist against my family (told you that Obummer was going to enslave white people if elected)!!! Those people…errr….African Americans are the real racists not us! And my son is a political prisoner!!!!” I paraphrase of course, but you get the gist.
I found this passage of his very interesting. In it, he faults Trayvon “getting himself murdered” for the Boston Marathon Bombings. Almost as bad as Mark O’mara in court today asking a potential juror, “What made you think the murder of a seventeen-year-old was tragic?”
Zimmerman Sr. says that because of Holder’s decision to investigate whether Trayvon Martin’s death violated federal civil rights laws, the FBI did not have “adequate resources to investigate clearly identified potential terrorist [sic] in the Boston area.” Now, “tragically, we have suffered the consequences of Mr. Holder’s politically motivated decisions.”
After giving some thought to the rant above from the propaganda contained in Sr’s book and realizing the Zimm Camp is reactionary and attempts to provide a dueling “narrative” about Trayvon or to dirty Trayvon in comparison to thugboat’s bad acts, something dawned on me. Sr could care less about the Boston Marathon Bombing if it wasn’t for the fact that little Martin Richard, an 8 yr old victim of the bombing, showed sympathy for Trayvon in his very short life. So that really must have stuck in Sr’s craw and since they have nooo problem trashing dead kids, it’s not surprising that Sr would use this opportunity to exact revenge on another dead kid and his parents with a self-righteous rant pointing out to them that they shouldn’t align with Trayvon “cuz it’s Trayvon’s fault Martin was murdered just like it’s Trayvon’s own fault he was murdered not thugboat’s!!” Sick family this!

“No more hurting people. Peace,” is the message held by Martin Richard in his classroom last April — part of a lesson on the shooting of Trayvon Martin, according to a Facebook post by Martin’s teacher, Rachel Moo.
How very classy and quaint for the father in the triad of narcissism, arrogance and entitlement to take a dig at Martin Richard, another dead child at the hands of another? This pointed barb is howling at the moon because even an 8 year old can see his son is wrong! And it matters not who is squashed in his attempt to let his child murdering, cousin molesting, lying son go free. He has no sympathy for anyone but his poor, poor family or he would have left this child out of it. Who cares how his comments might strike real victims, those who were injured in Boston and those who lost loved ones like Martin Richard’s parents? Not Zimmerman Sr while doth protesting too much all over the place. He’s a sad, bitter and racist old man. It’s going to burn like hell for him to see his son in prison and with all the goodwill he seeks to burn like his compadres burn crosses, he will find the world will delight just a little to see him have his comeuppance…that is of course if the self-proclaimed Daddy of the Year ever graces the courtroom with his presence!
Nasty, ugly, disturbing and disgusting but it points to only one thing – Robert Zimmerman Sr knows the law and he knows the evidence and he is scared, barking mad scared that his son will be sentenced to 25 to Life. Sucks for him and then the rest of society can be safe with one less degenerate on the street. Instead of victim-blaming and projecting, Sr should reflect on what he could have done differently as a father instead of pointing fingers from the side of a sinking ship!
